I have noticed that history is way more cyclical than linear, especially when it comes to how we as people interact with God. We keep seeing things happen again and again. On this episode I have Lou on the podcast as we continue the series on Mormon Fundamentalism in Europe. Lou is a Mormon Fundamentalist who lives in the United Kingdom. I had two take aways from this episode. First, I think just like what happened in the early days of the Restoration God is inspiring people in Europe to wake up...

Ok if you haven’t gone to the Mormon Renegdae Patreon Page and signed up for at least the 6 dollar package you might want to do that for this episode. One of the tactics commonly used by detractors of the Restored Gospel is to call into question the veracity of the Book of Abraham. They will tell you that it was simply a work of fiction based on the imagination of the Prophet Joseph Smith when he bought some Mummies. However, those detractors aren’t giving you the full story or being completely ...

We have bad actors from every walk of life looking to curtail you rights and liberty, from big tech, to government, to public private partnerships. One of the things I love the most about the scriptures is that as our walk in our discipleship of Jesus Christ matures and changes so to do the scriptures. Certain passages will take on new personal meanings given our current circumstances. This is why the scriptures will always be relevant. On this episode of the podcast I have Taylor Smith back on. Taylor is working on a hypothesis that in the book of Revelation the seven churches mentioned there are not only historical churches but also could...

I believe that Mormonism and the LDS Church every so often has watershed moments. The moments serve as inflection points signaling the direction the LDS church will head and the speed at which they intend to make changes to serve this new course. I believe that one such inflection point just happened at the last LDS General Conference when Elder Allen D. Haynie gave a talk in which he stated that prophetic counsel has an expiration date. Well that’s just perfect. So now you no longer need to rea...

I have said to my family and friends on many occasions “if you want to see where the nation is heading pay attention to Utah and Texas.” These two states are the places where people who seek to subvert the agency of man will attack with the greatest ferocity. This because both of these states are unique in both their history and culture. Those who seek to install tyranny in America understand that if they can get rid of freedom in these two states the rest will be significantly easier. We have k...

There are certain ordinances and principles in the Restored Gospel that were revealed by the early leaders of the LDS Church that are no longer practiced or even remembered. Well here we are, the economy is shaky, we are in at least a proxy war Russia, China is rattling its saber threatening to invade Taiwan, Canada has begun euthanasia for depressed teens, and here at home there is a large portion of our society that thinks gender mutilation of our children is a good idea, oh and that’s on top of abortion still happening. It feels like the whole world is in commotion and descending into a dark chaos. Now it is true that we don’t know the day or hour the Savior will...

Look anybody who is anybody in Mormon Fundamentalist Circles knows who Drew Briney is. He is perhaps the most prolific Mormon Fundamentalist author we have. With his book Adam-God Teachings certainly being one of the premier works on that subject. On this episode Drew and I have a conversation on his latest project which could be his most ambitious and important work to date. It is an annotated version of the Doctrine & Covenants. The Doctrine & Covenants is the most unique book of scripture in ...

One of the things we as fundamentalists and even traditional LDS folks fight against is stereotypes. Some of the worst stereotypes are reserved for women who are fundamentalists or are traditional LDS. You hear the same accusations all the time. “They all where prairie dresses, they must be so beaten down and oppressed, they must not be educated if they choose to live that way and the list goes on and on” Well I think those who hold and perpetuate those stereotypes are about to have some serious...

About a month ago the LDS church announced that they had made sweeping changes to the Temple ordinances, specific the endowment. With that in mind I thought now would be a good time to have a conversation about the Temple. I though about how to do this without revealing to much. Lucky for me I know a Temple President. On this episode I have on Dan Hatch. Dan is the Temple President for The Righteous Branch of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter day Saints in a Temple where the original ordinanc...

So let me paint you a picture. I left early Friday morning to head to where our Churches Temple is. I get very little cell coverage. I visited with friends, attended the Temple, attended Church on Sunday and left for home about two o’clock Sunday afternoon. On the drive home I just was thinking to myself “man I love it when I can just unplug and feast spiritually. About the time I got back into town my phone started blowing up. I looked and two banks had collapsed. Now if you have listened to th...

If you remember a few weeks back I had an epic conversation with Kimberley Watson Smith where she laid out the scriptures and proved that Celestial Plural Marriage is a divine principle. On this episode of the podcast I have Jacob Vidrine back on the podcast to talk about the history of plural marriage in the restoration, Joseph's revelation on the subject and plural marriage in the Utah period. Jacob's sources and presentation of that history absolutely rock solid and puts to shame the revision...

Today I have Joshua Erickson back on the podcast to continue our series on the Jewish Calendar and Holidays. Now if you remember Joshua and I have had a few talks up to this point. If you haven’t listened to any of our prior conversations I would strongly encourage you to go back and listen to those episodes first. They are Episode numbers 15, 27, 28, 30, and 40. The reason for this is that they all build on each other. On this episode we have a conversation about Purim. We talk about the bibli...
