Episode #219: The Armour of God Series PT 1-Girting Ourselves With Truth W/Joshua Winchell

Sometimes in scripture we see passages that are identical from the Bible to Restoration scriptures, when those appear I think the Lord is trying to emphasize to us how important the principle is. For the next few weeks, we are going to be talking about such a topic as we kick off the Armour of God series. You can find both of these passages in Ephesians 6:14-17 and Doctrine & Covenants 27:15-18. In this first episode we focus on girding ourselves with truth. To help me do this Joshua Winchell joins me as he first gives his backstory on how he found his way into the Fullness of the Restored Gospel, from there we move on to talk about the historical context in which Paul writes Ephesians which will shed some pretty interesting light on the scriptures in question. From there we move on to what girding ourselves in truth really means as we explore the idea from a surface understanding going deeper to reveal Temple connections and connections to our posterity.
