Episode #258: England's Secret History During The Time Of Christ & The Restoration Part 1 W/Jeff Wall

This week I have a real treat for you. I have the opportunity to sit down and have a conversation with Jeff Wall, as we talk about some history about England and the possibility that Christ had made journeys to Great Britan. We start out bytalking about the history of Heber C. Kimball’s 1837 mission to England. Jeff recounts the mission’s early converts and the preservation of the Journal of Discourses, then reflects on sacred places, spiritual guidance, and how the gospel reached communities others considered unlikely to respond. Jeff and Icontinue our discussion of Latter-day Saint interpretations of Israelite lineage, priesthood responsibility, and traditions connecting Jesus and Joseph of Arimathea with England. They examine scriptural passages and historical claims, including a proposed journey to Glastonbury, while presenting these ideas as interpretations and traditions rather than settled historical conclusions.

Restored Version Of The Scriptureswww.restoredscriptures.com*The fact that today Glastonbury is filled with new age, spiritualism, witchcraft, etc. adds a testimony that this is sacred place, as the Adversary delights to desecrate sacred space and pollute and perverts anything that is leading people to God. I also wanted to emphasize that he does not claim the Kolbrin Book to be scripture or even that the majority of it came from an ancient record. The Kolbrin Book has two major sections in it, the first being the so-called “Bronze Book” containing the purported writings of the ancients about the creation and early stories, much like the Old Testament in our Bible. However, upon receiving a copy of this book, after a preliminary early review, there are many, many false ideas and fanciful stories contained in it. It appears to me to be of modern origin as it is teaching evolution and other outlandish notions.
The second part of the book, which contained the prophecy that purports to come from Jesus, which I shared, comes from that portion that is labeled the “Book of Britain“. These may be remnants of earlier documents, some of which may have been passed down authentically. I am not sure as I have not read the entirely of this part. So, in my mind, “the jury is still out,” not having spent sufficient time in this study.
Also, to the claim that the Bronze Book, the older and more voluminous portion, being written on brass plates or brass sheets: this may be a fanciful claim as well as there is not sufficient evidence to substantiate it. In other words, there are no witnesses to this claim that I have found, no authentic records of their existence, in stark contrast with the Gold Plates from which the Book of Mormon was taken.
Further, while I was informed that this book came out in 1917, this fact is not substantiated either. The whole of the Kolbrin was first published in the 1990s.
In any case, I want to make it clear that I do not sustain this book as scripture or even as authentic records. I wanted those who hear this podcast to not enthusiastically receive this book, for it does not promote truth—things as they really were but rather promotes the theories of men, especially those of the modern age.
