Episode #254: Stonehenge of America & Possible Connections to The Book Of Mormon W/Dennis Stone

On this episode I have Dennis Stone back on the podcast to talk about a fascinating site in New Hampshire that wetalked about last November, called America’s Stonehenge. The conversation starts with Dennis describing the site’s history, stone structures, astronomical alignments, underground drains, and other recent discoveries. Wediscussed carbon dating and astronomical research suggesting the site is about 4,000 years old, with possible ceremonial and burial uses. The conversation then moves into exploring Native American reactions, oral traditions, and thelack of evidence tying the site to colonial farmers. Dennis explained the turtle-shaped chamber, serpent symbolism, and the “sacrificial table” with its grooves and possible ritual functions. He mentioned inscriptions such as the Eye of Horus and connections to Old World cultures like Phoenician and Celtic. Dennis also talks about one chamber specifically that if you are familiar with the account in the Book of Mormon about the Brother of Jared that you will find very, very interesting. In addition to this I make a few connections that could point to a near eastern presence in ancient America.
